Army Capt. Kristen Griest of Orange Receives Prestigious State Honor
Three Connecticut women will be recognized this fall for their excellence.

ORANGE, CT — United States Army Capt. Kristen Griest, an Orange native, is scheduled to be inducted into the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame in November, one of three women to receive the honor this year, reports the New Haven Register.
Griest, 27, became the Army's first female infantry officer, an honor she received after being one of two women to successfully complete Army Ranger School.
In addition to Griest, the other inductees in the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame this fall are Army Maj. Regina Y. Rush-Kittle and U.S. Air Force Col. Ruth A. Lucas.
