Shelton Mom Who Shopped While Leaving Child in Hot Parked Car To Appear In Court

Nathalie Stonier, of Shelton, who is accused of leaving her 3-year-old inside a hot parked car last month, while she shopped at Trader Joe’s in Orange will appear before a judge today, NBC Connecticut reports.

The child has been placed with its father, and Stonier, 36, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and leaving a child under the age of 12 unsupervised in a motor vehicle.

At the time, Orange police said Stonier left her 3-year-old inside a parked car at 11 a.m. while she went inside to shop at the Trader Joe’s store at 550 Boston Post Road, WFSB 3 television reports.

Someone saw Stonier leave the child unattended and called police. The child was not injured, WFSB 3 reports.
