• Oxford Schools Welcome 26 New Hires (patch.com) — Oxford families can expect a busy start to the school year as the district welcomes 26 new staff members, launches a STEM coaching role for elementary grades, and rolls out the ParentSquare communication app. Students will also return to upgraded school facilities, including new HVAC at Quaker Farms, a refreshed gym at Great Oak, and renovations to the Monroe-Oxford Community Transition Program site.
• Connecticut football Alliance reaches all 134 teams. Could bigger changes loom? (ctpost.com) — Connecticut's High School Football Alliance now includes every league, and Oxford's team is part of the new-look Week 2 "Alliance Week" slate. The expanded system pairs schools by size and strength, aiming for fairer schedules, better playoff positioning, and more meaningful games while preserving traditional rivalries and league identities across the state.
