• Oxford Couples Face New Marriage License Waiting Period (patch.com) — Oxford couples planning to marry will soon need to build in a 48-hour wait between finishing their marriage license paperwork and receiving the license, due to a new state law taking effect Oct. 1. The Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall continues to handle licenses by appointment, with in-person appearances, ID, and a sworn statement required, plus a $50 fee payable by cash or check only.
   

• Oxford taproom debuts THC-infused drink vending to coincide with legal changes (hartfordbusiness.com) — Black Hog Brewing's Oxford taproom is rolling out a new vending machine on October 1 that will sell locally made THC-infused drinks for off-site consumption, in line with updated state rules. Adults can buy age-verified tokens at the bar and choose from several 5 mg THC beverage brands produced on-site by CT Canning.
