Body Found in Seymour House Destroyed By Fire

Oxford volunteer firefighters responded to the early morning fire.

Investigators have found human remains in a Seymour home that was ravaged by a fire early this morning.

The Valley Independent Sentinel reports that a cause of the fire, which was reported at about 1:40 a.m. on July 31, has not been determined. Seymour Fire Marshal Paul Wetowitz told the Valley Indy that they have no reason "at all" to suspect foul play.

Volunteers from Oxford responded to the Davis Road blaze to support Seymour, Oxford fire officials told Patch.
