REVIEW: Kirkland Signature 10 Piece Brush Kit

The great thing about makeup is that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on the makeup itself.  You just need some products that are in your budget, flatter you, last all day, and don’t irritate your skin.  What you probably don’t have at home that gives you the professional edge is the right tools.  Many women over the years have asked me to take a look at their makeup collections and give them some suggestions.  The thing that is missing is usually the proper tools.  I have seen women with a $40 eye shadow palette and one, single, solitary, sad, little, beat up sponge applicator to apply it with!  You’re better off buying a decent drug store brand of eye shadow on the cheap and spending $40 on a few good brushes to apply it with!  Yes, brushes can run a fortune, but many companies have been turning out inexpensive alternatives that work just as great, and lucky for you, I’m always on the hunt for them, and I’m here to share!

I recommend a great starter kit have a foundation brush, powder brush, blush brush, large shadow brush, small shadow brush, crease brush, eyebrow-grooming brush, and a liner brush.  If you start with those, you can create a great look every day!  Then you can add pieces as needed.  I have scoured the internet, drug stores, high-end beauty stores, and makeup counters and have found a lot of great brushes over the years!  I’ve spent $40 on a brush that I’ve had for ten years, and I’ve found $2 brushes that I’ve had for the same length of time.  You don’t have to go far from home to pick up the most recent lucky find of mine!  I found a kit that was very inexpensive, yet surprisingly high in quality and craftsmanship at Costco, if you can believe it!  It does not have every brush mentioned above, but for its price, it is an amazing starter kit.  Watch my video to find out what comes in it and more!
