Brookfield Beats Oxford in Boys Basketball

The boys basketball team lost 80-53 to Brookfield Friday night at home.

Tyler Gruttadauria scored 19 points to lead Oxford in scoring. J.T. VanKamerik scored 12 points and pulled in 11 rebounds for the 3-15 Wolverines.

Brookfield improves to 14-4 on the season.

Oxford was up 13-12 at the end of the first quarter but Brookfield slowly pulled away, said Oxford coach Al Tolomeo.

He said Brookfield got to the foul line a bunch and took advantage. The Bobcats were 22 of 35 from the free throw stripe. Oxford converted on 17 of 22 free throw attempts.
