Brookfield Tops Oxford 28-14 on Homecoming Night [Video]

The Brookfield High School football team jumped out to an early lead and didn't look back, despite a decent comeback by Oxford, en route to a 28-14 win on homecoming night Friday.

An estimated 500 people attended the game at Brookfield and saw the Bobcats pour on the offense in the first half and rely on its defense in the second to secure the win.

Brookfield was led by quarterback Boeing Brown, who was 5-for-12 passing for 94 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown pass to Kory Brown. Boeing Brown ran the ball five times for 58 yards, including a 50-yard score.

Kory Brown had two touchdowns, and Leaon Gordon ran the ball 16 times for 85 yards, 32 of which came on a touchdown ran. Tyler Puglisi also ran the ball six times for 54 yards.

For Oxford, quarterback Alex Miller threw two touchdowns and completed 13 of 27 passes for 186 yards, including an 85-yard pass to Chris Van Kamerik, who had five catches for 123 yards and a touchdown.  Joe Greco had two carries for 36 yards for Oxford.

Brookfield improves to 3-2 on the season, while Oxford drops to 1-4.
