Concerns About Non-Residents Using Jackson Cove Park Raised
A couple of residents attended a public meeting and shared their concerns.

OXFORD, CT — Oxford residents, Robert Prihoda and Paul Tuzzolono, attended a Parks and Recreation Commission meeting earlier this month where they shared concerns about the number of non-residents using Jackson Cove Park.
They felt that a number of folks were coming in by wave-runner, according to meeting minutes. They also expressed concern about people parking around the boat launch area. Chairman Glen Schumitz said that non-residents cannot be prohibited from using the park.
Kyra Nesteriak said that a high number of non-resident day beach passes were purchased over the Memorial Day weekend. Nesteriak had already initiated a lifeguard to be stationed at the boat launch to inform people that they cannot park there. Officials said it is a boat launch, not a dock.
