Residential household hazardous waste will be collected from residents of Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, and Woodbury. The event is free.

Acceptable Items: Mercury and Mercury thermometers, Drain & Oven Cleaners, Upholstery Cleaners, Poisons, Insecticides, Oil- or Lead-Based Paints, Wood Cleaners, Aerosols, Strippers & Varnishes, Metal Polishers, Pool & Photo Chemicals, Automotive Cleaners & Fluids, Grease & Rust Solvents, and Fluorescent Bulbs.
Non-Acceptable Items: No Latex Paint, No Auto Batteries, No Motor Oil, No Radioactive or Medical Waste, No Asbestos, No Explosives, and No Compressed Gas Cylinders.
Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted, except through prior arrangement.
