OXFORD, CT — The fate of Oxford High School football coach Joseph Stochmal, who is also a teacher, may be settled at a special meeting of the Board of Education on Tuesday night.

The coach was charged with breach of peace last December after he went to central officers and allegedly confronted them, upset that he believed his brother was forced to resign a job in the district.

Stochmal has been on paid administrative leave since the incident. School officials have said Stochmal cursed at them and was out of control but Stochmal has denied those charges.

At Tuesday’s meeting, which will be held at 6 p.m. at the high school, the board will hear the report of a hearing officer who was charged with looking into the allegations against Stochmal and to make a recommendation.
