Future Is Very Bright For Oxford: Report
A look back at 2017 with an eye toward 2018 in Oxford.

OXFORD, CT — The future for Oxford is bright, especially on the financial end of things. Due to several economic development projects including the Power Plant $117 million tax deal, taxpayers saw a 2 mill or 8.5 percent tax decrease.
First Selectman George R. Temple told the Republican-American that a day care center and Five Guys are slated to open next month at Quarry Walk. Also a new industrial park could generate $2 million annually in tax revenue.
The town's finances are strong enough that a new library and middle school will be built. Top priorities in 2018 include acquire more open space and continue to combat the opioid epidemic, Temple told the Rep-Am.
