McMahon, Murphy Win in State and in Oxford

Oxford voters have picked  and  to face off in the November election when the two could possibly vie for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by , a former Democrat-turned-Independent who is retiring.

Whether or not the two will actually contend in November depends on the statewide results, which according to The Associated Press are reflective of local results. Patch will update readers soon as the official results are available.

In the meantime, here's how the votes were broken down in Oxford, according to the office of the registrar.
