Obituary: Dr. Edward Casey, Jr., 62
Casey, a dentist in Waterbury and a Southbury resident, died as a result of a car accident in Oxford on Friday.

D.M.D. 62, of Southbury, passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 30, 2011 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Lorrie (Daley) Casey.
Edward was born in Milford MA on January 12, 1949, son of the late Edward Casey Sr. and Elaine (Pickering) Casey. He was a graduate of the New Jersey School of Medicine and Dentistry and owner & operator of Edward F. Casey Jr. D.M.D. PC. on Highland Ave. in Waterbury. He was an avid UConn Huskies basketball fan, a scuba diving instructor for over 30 years and a passionate traveler

In addition to his wife of 19 years, he leaves one son, Daniel Casey of Naugatuck, a daughter Jessica Modeen and her husband Walter of Naugatuck; twin daughters Melissa and Megan Casey of Southbury; a grandson Ethan Modeen and countless treasured friends.
Arrangements: A funeral service with cremains present will be held Saturday August 6, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
