Oxford Approves Raises For 2 Municipal Employees

Both employees had worked years without receiving raises.

OXFORD, CT — The Board of Selectmen voted this month to approve pay raises for two employees who had gone years without receiving a salary increase.

The selectmen voted to increase the pay for the Senior Center custodian from $11.85 per hour to $16.52 per hour. The pay for the custodian at the Senior Center has not increased since he started working there. All other custodians in town have been earning $16.52 per hour.

"The Senior Center custodian's pay will now equal the current pay scale for all Town custodians," according to selectmen meeting minutes.
