Oxford Baseball Defeats Bunnell, Improves to 5-3
The Oxford High School baseball team got a solid pitching performance out of Ryan Faroni.
The Oxford High School baseball team improved its record to 5-3 with a 4-3 victory over Bunnell High School of Stratford on Thursday.
The team was led by Chris Woolfrey, who had two RBI and Josh Silkoff, who had two hits and scored a run. Alex Miller had the go ahead RBI single in the fifth inning to secure the victory for the Wolverines. And Ryan Faroni pitched a complete game for his third victory of the season. Faroni has a 3-0 record on the mound for the season.
For Bunnell, Geovoni Gonzalez had a single and a double, while Tim White had an RBI double.
