Oxford Baseball Loses to Notre Dame Despite More Hits

Team has one more hit but can't put across more runners in Thursday's loss.

Caithan Pratt had three hits for the Oxford Wolverines Thursday against Notre Dame of Fairfield, but it wasn't enough for the Wolverines who dropped a 20-5 decision in the South West Conference game.

Despite having one more hit, 11, than Notre Dame, the Wolverines scored a quarter of as many runs than their counterparts. John Ross and Mike Saia hit home runs to pace Notre Dame, which P.J. DeFillippp had three hits and two RBI.

Oxford drops to 6-7 with a 2-7 SWC record, while Notre Dame is at .500 with a 7-7 record.
