Team loses by 10.

The boys basketball team played a tough game against Immaculate, the 16-0 No. 11 team in the state on Tuesday night.

J.T. VanKamerik led Oxford with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Seth Calvanese had 15 points and six rebounds. Caithan Pratt had 12 points, six assists and three steals for the Wolverines.

Alex Miller and Kevin Severson played outstanding defense for Oxford, which played without guard T.J. The team, he said, also played without Antonio Lopes who went to Texas to deal with family matters.

“We had a couple guys foul out in the fourth quarter and that hurt us,” he said. “But the guys played extremely hard, and I’m proud of them.”

Oxford plays Brookfield Friday night at home in the second-to-last home game of the season at 7 p.m. Tolomeo encourages people to attend because he said it will be a great night of basketball with the Great Oak Middle School team playing at Oxford High at 3:45 p.m. and the OHS junior varsity team plays at 5:15 p.m.
