The Oxford High School boys soccer team is one win away from gaining a state playoff birth after defeating Masuk of Monroe 3-1 on senior day Tuesday.Mike Morton scored two goals for the Wolverines, and Bryan Baker scored the third to lead the Wolverines. Christian Kostka played well in goal for Oxford. The team plays Bullard Havens on Thursday. If it wins, the team will gain a spot in the state playoffs. Consequently, that is the same team that Oxford Head Coach Charles Egervari coached for 19 years.

Saddle up and join the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard for a beautiful spring ride through scenic trails. This rain or shine equestrian event invites you to bring your horses and enjoy a morning of riding starting from their historic grounds.
Pre-registration is open now and ends on May 1. Suggested pre-event donation is $45.00, with same-day registration of $55.00. This is the Annual Asher’s Answer 5K Run/Walk in honor of&nbsp;<a href="https://ashersanswer.org/about/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher Nathaniel Gibson.</a>
All proceeds will be used to provide support to our non-profit organization, <a href="https://ashersanswer.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher’s Answer</a>, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial support to families of children with rare trisomies.
This year, there will be games and activities for children under age 13, so feel free to bring the entire family!!!
NOTE: For safety and security purposes, race participants must be at least 13 yrs of age. Children younger than that can still come and participate in various games/activities while their parents race, but cannot race. Infant and toddlers may race with their parents only if they are transported in strollers or strapped to parents (ie body carriers).
