Oxford Boys Soccer Wins on Senior Day

The Oxford High School boys team is one win away from a state playoff birth.

The Oxford High School boys soccer team is one win away from gaining a state playoff birth after defeating Masuk of Monroe 3-1 on senior day Tuesday.

Mike Morton scored two goals for the Wolverines, and Bryan Baker scored the third to lead the Wolverines. Christian Kostka played well in goal for Oxford.

The team plays Bullard Havens on Thursday. If it wins, the team will gain a spot in the state playoffs. Consequently, that is the same team that Oxford Head Coach Charles Egervari coached for 19 years.
