Oxford Boys Track Defeats Pomp, Stratford

Team falls short to Bethel. Record is now 2-1.

The Oxford High School boys track team opened the season with a 2-1 record posting wins over Pomperaug and Stratford while coming up short to Bethel. This is the first time in school history that the team has had more than one win in a meet with two or more opponents.

The 4x800 and 4x400 relays took first overall. Ryan Flach and Matt Hanna posted the other two winning performances in the 800 and shot put, respectively. Times and other top performances are listed below. The next meet is this Friday at Seymour.
