Oxford Cop Dismissed Following Accusations of Improper Behavior
The Board of Selectmen decided to dismiss the officer during an executive session on Tuesday.

The Oxford Board of Selectmen unanimously decided on Tuesday to dismiss local police officer Gary Soules, Jordan Otero reports for the Republican-American.
Soules’ dismissal comes after accusations of improper use of force, intentionally lying and not displaying the proper attitude for an employee of the town police department.
According to the paper, the decision made during an executive session on Tuesday cited insubordination, concluding that Soules is unfit for duty.

Soules, 29, an Army veteran was hired as a police officer in March 2007 and a complaint against him was filed in March 2012.
