Police: Woman was Assaulted, Pushed out of Moving Car on Whitney Avenue in Hamden

Hamden police are investigating the assault of a Wolcott woman, who told officers that she was pushed out of a moving vehicle on Whitney Avenue early Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 3700 block of Whitney Avenue on the report of a suspicious person at about 2 a.m. Thursday, Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

Moments later officers met with the complainant, a 33-year-old Wolcott resident. She advised police that she had earlier met two individuals at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

One of the individuals, described as a black male, bald, with tattoos on the back of his hands, drove her vehicle, while she was seated in the front passenger seat. The second individual, described as a white female, 25 to 35 years of age, with blonde hair, was seated in the backseat.

The victim further advised officers that she was continuously assaulted while seated inside of the vehicle. She was subsequently pushed out of the moving vehicle in the vicinity of 3700 Whitney Avenue.

Smith said the woman suffered injuries to her face, eye, hand and ankle. She was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.

Her vehicle, which she reported stolen is a gray 2008 Toyota Solara, Connecticut registration 5ALDM6.
