
The Oxford High School football team fell to 1-2 on the season with a 55-20 loss at the hands of Bunnell High School in Stratford on Saturday.
Senior tri-captain Chris Hovan rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, or 6.8 yards per carry. He also had two receptions for 48 yards.
His fellow captain, quarterback Alex Miller, was 12 for 19 passing for 117 yards, including a 35-yard TD pass to Jordan Biagioni, who had six catches for 57 yards.

Joe Greco also had a 16 yard rushing TD for Oxford.
Bunnell was led by Chris Camille who rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns.

Oxford plays Thursday this week. The game is at 4 p.m. at home against Bethel.
