Oxford Girls Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Bethel Invitational
Team has a strong showing at the annual event.
Oxford Girls Varsity Team came in 4th out of 20 teams at the Bethel Invitational, while the boys team finished 13th of 20.
Girls Results
For the girls, Cheshire won the meet with 66 points followed by New Milford 104, Immacualte 109, Oxford 111 and Pomperaug 118. Cheshire, New Milford, Pomperaug and Immaculate are all ranked in the top 10 in the state in the Girls XC Poll. Oxford is ranked 15th in the state coaches poll.

For Oxford, Marcea Stilson finished in ninth place with a time of 21:15 over the 5K course. Other Oxford top finishers were: Stephanie Vitka 17th, 21:51, Caylee Richardson 22nd 22:22, Sara Ponce 31st 22:59, Skyler Werner 32nd 23:07, Brianna Hoffner 36th 23:29 and Giovnna McMahon 72nd 26:24.
In the Girls JV race, Mila Bowersox came in 84th 30:33, Hannah VanBuiten 87th, 30:36, Emily Lones 100th 31:31, Sam Orner 113th 33:52, Michaela Ryan 114th 34:02, Mallori Micallef 126th 26:53.

In the Girls Freshman Races, 1.5 miles, Lindsey Koski came in 14th with a time of 11:52 and Maggie Palys 64th, 16:24
Boys Results
In the Boys Varsity race the Boys came in 13th out of 20 teams. Brandon Au was Oxford's top finisher in 55th place, 20:55. Chris Gee 58th 21:14, Ian Murray 66th, 21:49, and Sean Coffindaffer 71st 22:03.
In the Boys JV race Joe Venturini came in 83rd, 24:31 and Kevin Reid 123rd 27:03.
In the Boys 1.5 mile Freshman race Zack Latka came in 14th, 9:49, Greg Herold 39th, 11:23 and Mitchell Wright 50th, 12:32.
