Oxford Girls Cross Country Finishes in State Top 10

Coaches poll says Wolverines are among the top in the state.

The Oxford High School girls cross country team has finished in the top 10 in the state per the final state Coaches' Poll of the Season.

The Wolverines, who won the Class SS state championship last week, finished in 10th place overall, the highest finish in a state coaches poll for a sports team, according to head coach Ed Lucas. The team was the second team in Oxford history to win a state championship, the three-time cheerleading champions were the first.
