Oxford Girls Track Team Defeats Stratford, Loses to Pomperaug, Bethel
Taylor Drayton sets two school records in the field events.

The girls’ track team defeated Stratford, and lost to Pomperaug and Bethel in a three-team meet on Monday. Oxford is 4-2 on the season.
Here are the top performers for the Wolverines on Monday:
- Taylor Drayton won the shot put at 35-feet, three-quarters inches; javelin at 104-feet, 9.5-inches (school record) and discus, 118-feet, 11-inches (school record)
- Caylee Richardson won the 3,200 in 12 minutes, 20 seconds
- Elizabeth Rascko was fourth in the javelin with a toss of 64-feet, 8-inches;
- Hannah VanBuiten was fourth in 100 at 13.7 seconds and second in the 400 at 64.7 seconds
- Marcea Stilson was second in the 1,600 at 5 minutes, 37 seconds, and third in the 3,200 at 12 minutes, 30 seconds
- Caylee Richardson third in the 1,600 at 5 minutes, 39 seconds
- Corrinn Niski was third in the 300 Hurdles at 53 seconds
- Anne Dennen was fourth in the high jump at 4-feet, 4-inches
The next meet is April 23 at Newtown with Laurelton Hall and Notre Dame-Fairfield.
