
Girls Track Wins Three
The girls track team beat Brookfield 79-71, New Fairfield 77-72 and Bunnell 94-52 Monday at Brookfield. The team is now 10-4 on the season. The 10 wins are the most in history for a girls track team at OHS. It is also the first time the girls have swept a quad meet in school history.
Overall individual winners for Oxford were:
- 4x800 relay team of Caylee Richardson, Sara Thorpe, Olivia Richter and Elizabeth Racsko in 11:01
- Olivia Richter in the 1600 in a time of 5:44
- Taylor Drayton in the Javelin in 103-9, Shot Put 30-4
- Marcea Stilson in the 3200 in 12:02
- Hannah VanBuiten came in 3rd in the 100 in 14.2
- Corrinn Niski came in 3rd in the 300 Intermediate Hurdles in 51.1
- Sara Thopre 2nd in the 800 in 2:36
- Olivia Richter 3rd in the 800 in 2:37
- Jill Miller 2nd in the 200 in 31.8
- Audrey Pratt 2nd in the triple jump in 25-11 and shot put in 29-10
- Caylee Richardson 2nd in the 3200 in 12:04
- Taylor Drayton 3rd in the Discus in 90-11
So far this season, 12 school records have been set as well as 29 class records and 10 out of the 20 girls on the team have qualified for the SWC Championships and State Class S Championships.

The next meet is Friday at the Lady Titans Relays at Sheehan HS in Wallingford.
Baseball
The Oxford High School baseball team fell to 6-9 on the season with an 8-3 loss to Masuk of Monroe on Monday.
