Oxford Native Honored for College Soccer Feats
Southern Connecticut State University senior to play in New England women's senior bowl.
A Southern Connecticut State University soccer player from Oxford has been chosen to play in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl.
Lindsay Stanton, a forward and team captain for Southern who played high school soccer at Masuk in Monroe, will play in the senior game this Saturday at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. The time has not yet been determined.
Stanton played in 16 games this year and helped the Southern Owls finish with a No. 10 regional ranking and an overall record of 8-6-3, according to a news release from Southern's athletic department.
