Oxford Soccer Defeats New Milford 3-2

Mike Morton had two goals to pace the Wolverines, who move to 2-3 on the season.

Mike Morton had two goals and assisted on another to lead the Oxford High soccer team to a 3-2 victory over New Milford at home on Tuesday.

Oxford was up 3-0 and had to hold on for the victory as New Milford gained control late in the game, Coach Charles Egevari said.

"The Oxford team attacked consistantly in the first half, and even in the second, but they started making plays," he said. "We let them gain momentum later in the game, but our defense played excellent and so did our goalie, Christian Kostka."
