Oxford Softball Loses Heartbreaker

Team is out of the state tournament after tough loss.

The Oxford Hgih School softball team lost 5-4 to Griswold in the second round of the Class M state tournament on Wednesday.

The game went into extra innings and Oxford lost in the top of the ninth on a bunt that brought home a runner from third.

For Oxford, Natalie Peterson scored two runs and had a single. Sarah Wolfrey and Clare Michalak had RBIs for Oxford.

Oxford finishes its stellar, championship season at 21-3. The team won the South-West Conference championship last week.
