Oxford Softball Wins, Baseball Falls Short Against Masuk
Softball defeats Masuk first time in school history.
freshman softball hurler Ashley Guillette struck out 17 and allowed just three hits in a 2-1 win over Masuk of Monroe on Wednesday.
Freshman catcher Kaley Kempf had two hits, a two-run homer in the first inning and a single in the seventh to pace the Wolverines on the offensive end. Guillette helped herself at the plate with a single, while Bobbie Stilson went in as a courtesy runner and scored on Kempf's home run.
This was the first time in the short history of the Oxford High softball program that the team has defeated Masuk.

Alex Miller had two hits and stole home but it wasn't enough for the Wolverines, who fell to Masuk 4-2 on Wednesday.
