Oxford Voters to Decide on Funds for Repairs at Wednesday's Town Meeting

The use of the funds has previously been approved by both the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Finance.

Voters in Oxford will decide the outcome of nearly $20,000 from the General Surplus Fund at Wednesday’s town meeting.

The meeting will be held at town hall at 7 p.m.

According to the meeting’s agenda, the first item voters will be asked to vote on is whether $4,900 from the fund should be used to repair the Fire Marshal’s vehicle. The second item on the agenda is whether $15,000 from the fund should be used to repair the floor at the Oxford Senior Center.

Both items have been approved by the Board of Selectmen at their Oct. 15 meeting.

The Board of Finance approved the repairs to the fire marshal’s vehicle at their Oct. 27 meeting and also approved the repairs to the Senior Center at their Oct. 20 meeting.
