• Oxford Route 67 Trail Project Faces $5.7 Million Funding Gap (patch.com) — Oxford is moving ahead with the next leg of its Route 67 multi-use trail, but still needs about $5.7 million to finish the full central segment. Current funding will cover a first phase from Dutton Road to Riggs Street, with construction targeted for 2027, while later sections toward Quarry Walk depend on securing additional money and are tentatively slated for 2028–2029.

• Connecticut officials warn FEMA aid remains uncertain for Fourth of July storm damage (ctpost.com) — Oxford is still feeling the effects of the devastating August 2024 rainstorm, with FEMA having distributed most, but not all, of the approved federal aid to affected Naugatuck Valley towns. State leaders now warn that damage from this year's Fourth of July storms may not meet federal thresholds for new disaster assistance, while also criticizing past FEMA staffing cuts and urging fair treatment for all communities seeking help.
