
A 20-year-old Oxford man was charged with statutory rape after being arrested by warrant recently at his home.
Sean Lipka, of 17 Palmer Lane, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child after the incident, which occurred in January, according to a police report.
The police report on file at state police barracks Troop A in Southbury lists the victim as a 14-year-old.
Second-degree sexual assault is non-forcible sexual intercourse with someone between the ages of 13 and 16 and is a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to Connecticut State Statutes.
Lipka has posted the court set $10,000 bond and will appear June 17 at Derby Superior Court.
