Report Lists Top Reasons Why Troop A State Troopers Pull Your Vehicle Over
Recent crime data gives you an inside look as to what Troop A officers, which includes Oxford, are looking for when they stop you.

A recent report by the Connecticut Racial Profiling Prohibition Project found that State Police Troop A, which includes Southbury and Oxford, conducted 23,667 traffic stops from Oct. 1, 2013 through Sept. 30, 2014.
The data tells so many interesting stories. If a State Trooper does pull you over plan on getting a ticket, according to the report.
The reasons a Troop A state trooper is likely to pull you over includes: 30 percent are for speeding infractions; cell phone offenses, 10 percent; moving violation, 10 percent; registration offense, 10 percent; seatbelts, 7 percent.

During those 23,667 traffic stops, state troopers will give you a ticket 64 percent of the time, and a verbal warning 20 percent of the time.
