Squeeze Bunt Nips Oxford Baseball in Tough Loss

The baseball team was locked in a pitcher's duel with New Milford on the road Monday until New Milford's Donny Ek executed a double squeeze bunt to score Luke Zimmerman and Brian Larkin in the fifth inning.

Those were the only two runs New Milford needed to beat Oxford in the 2-0 game. 

The Wolverines fall to 3-6 on the season, and 1-4 in the South-West Conference. New Milford is 6-3, 4-1 in the SWC.

For Oxford, Dan Kudej pitched well - he gave up just two hits - but he ultimately picked up his first loss on the season; he's now 2-1 for the year. Tyler Valzania got the win for New Milford; he gave up four hits.
