Suspended Oxford High School Football Coach Continues to Receive Support: Report

More testimony was given Tuesday and the case continues today.

OXFORD, CT — Support continues to roll in for suspended Oxford High School football coach Joseph Stochmal who is fighting to keep his job after being charged with breach of peace at the district's central offices in December.

Several letters of support were introduced into the record during Tuesday's hearing. Additionally, a witness testified that he never heard Stochmal yell or curse at a district official, which is what has been alleged, the Republican-American reports.

A former player also testified in support of Stochmal Tuesday and a counselor who has been treating the coach said his client was under a great deal of stress because the man who murdered his sister in 1984 was about to be freed and he was unsure how to tell his parents that news, the Rep-Am reports.
