• Middlesex County America 250 Parade will be held on Labor Day (middletownct.gov) — Portland residents are invited to join today’s Middlesex County America 250 Parade in nearby Middletown, stepping off at 10 a.m. and featuring remarks from Portland’s First Selectman Michael Pelton. Organized by the joint Middletown–Portland America 250 Committee, the celebration includes a Main Street parade, food trucks, and a community picnic at South Green to mark America’s 250th anniversary.
