The Garden & Conservation Trust is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1967. The trust maintains Ballard Greenhouse and sponsors the greenhouse director. Ballard Greenhouse was designed by Lord & Burnham and built in 1906. It has been the site of Ridgefield and Caudatowa Garden Club’s annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale since 1971 where members grow perennials, annuals, herbs, and vegetables to raise funds for community gardens and local scholarships as well as beautification and conservation projects throughout Ridgefield.
