The <a href="https://www.nps.gov/wefa/planyourvisit/weir-farm-artist-collective.htm" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Weir Farm Artist Collective</a> is a collaboration of independent artists following the tradition of creativity within the Weir Farm landscape. Its purpose is to inform, support, encourage and engage accomplished artists of all mediums to share ideas, opportunities and technical solutions.
This art show at the Ridgefield Library will feature works of plein air painters in various mediums. Please join us on Saturday, June 6, from 2:00-4:00, to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.

Weir Farm Art Collective Exhibit at the Ridgefield Library

The Ridgefield Library&nbsp;has partnered with&nbsp;<a href="https://rvnahealth.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">RVNAhealth</a> to introduce a free monthly Memory Café series, held at the Library and created as a welcoming hour of shared activities, conversation and connection for individuals living with memory changes and the care partners who support them.
Each Memory Café offers a chance to step away from appointments, schedules and daily responsibilities and simply enjoy time together. The free hour includes a thoughtful mix of easy, enjoyable activities and time to socialize. This month, we welcome Ridgefield Poet Laureate Ira Joe Fisher to join us.
A defining part of this new partnership is the involvement of&nbsp;<a href="https://rvnahealth.org/news/meet-danielle-taibi-ot-dementia-specialist/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">RVNAhealth Dementia Specialist, Danielle Taibi</a>,&nbsp;who offers a supportive and welcoming environment focused on enjoyment, connection and shared activities.

ALEX EDELMAN – One of the most critically hailed comedians of his generation, Alex Edelman is best known for solo shows that blur the line between his stand-up comedy roots and narrative-driven storytelling. His last offering, JUST FOR US, played more than 500 performances all over the world, including on Broadway before premiering as an HBO original comedy special in April of 2024 earning him a place on the Time 100 list, a Tony Award, and an Emmy award. Edelman appeared in Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut for Netflix, UNFROSTED. He is currently developing a movie with A24 that he will write, direct and star in with Marc Platt and Steven Levenson producing. His debut non-fiction collection, I DON’T BELONG HERE, recently sold to Avid Reader at auction. Alex was a staff writer on THE GREAT INDOORS for CBS, a story editor on TEENAGE BOUNTY HUNTERS for Netflix, and the head writer for SATURDAY NIGHT SEDER, which raised over $3.5 million for the CDC Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund. He has written for outlets such as The Atlantic and The Believer, has written and produced documentaries for the US State Department and ESPN’s “30 for 30” series, and spent more than a decade working as a speechwriter for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox. UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand.
