Come meet some of our adoptable dogs and enjoy a day of cars, food and music, all for a great cause.

The wool fibers tangle together, making the felt. The work surface is a foam block, which keeps the wool in place as you needle the fibers. There are various techniques to create both flat and 3-dimensional projects. Zumba ® 
Zumba, a high energy fitness workout, combines Latin and internatonal music with dance moves, creating a fun and effective workout. It incorporates elements of aerobic, interval and resistance training, maximizing calorie burning and cardiovascular benefits. Move to the rhythm of salsa, flamenco, merengue and other global beats. Wear sneakers and bring a water bottle. Instructor Yolima Solano (Tuesdays at 6 pm) is licensed in Zumba ®, a life long dancer originally from Colombia, who enjoys teaching Zumba ® in the area. She is also a dental hygienist.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jill Savitti (Thursdays at 6:30 pm) is Zumba certified and also teaches in this area.

LaBlast Fitness ® Cardio Dance Workout with Light Weights You will get your heart rate up and sweat a bit with this aerobic workout created by Louis Van Amstel of Dancing with the Stars. LaBlast® is a partner-free, simple, low impact, safe, cardio / ballroom dance workout for all levels. Some exercises use optional light weights. There is no mat. It's fun and energizing. Beginners are encouraged to attend. Wear sneakers and bring light hand weights (if you have them) and a water bottle. Instructor Denise Nethercott started ballroom dancing in 2011 and has successfully competed as an amateur ballroom dancer with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. She is an Open Gold level dancer with numerous accomplishments. Denise's mission is to combine her passion for ballroom dance with her passion for physical fitness. LaBlast® is a fun, safe exercise program that combines the love of dance with the need to move our bodies. Denise became a certified LaBlast® Fitness instructor in 2019 and started Dance Fit with Denise in 2021. More bio on website.

Gentle Flow Yoga ~ Evening ~ HYBRID - In Person Plus Zoom available.
For beginner/intermediate students looking to deepen their yoga practice. Explore the fundamentals of a flowing yoga practice (vinyasa) as well as traditional poses. Benefits include increased strength, mobility, flexibility along with improved circulation and stress reduction. Increase your awareness of body and breath and end with a deep relaxation (Savasana). Modifications are provided to allow all students to find their own combination of challenge and balance. Please bring a mat, blocks, blanket or towel and a water bottle. Instructor Erin Lutz is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and earned her 200 hour RYT certification through InnerSpace with Karen Pierce at Yoga Space in Bethel. She also teaches Gentle Flow Yoga and Chair Yoga in the area. Weather makeups are added to the end of the session.&nbsp;&nbsp; 7-8 Sessions Mon., Starting 9/28 - balance of dates to be determined and posted from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School. Gentle Yoga Stretch Fusion with Mary Sireci ~ Evening Start to wind down your week in this class designed to generate ease within the body, by poses that are strengthening and lengthening and suitable to meet needs of each student. Yoga magic in this class brings peace of mind, tension release, and positive energy. Stretching is a good way to keep your body mobile, your joints lubricated, and your body feeling free. A feel good class for all body types. Ending with some yoga meditation, students will learn to calm the mind while feeling blissful in the soul. Please bring a mat, blocks, blanket or towel and a water bottle. Instructor Mary Sireci, a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, has been a dedicated yogi for years and enjoys sharing the magic of Yoga. She has been teaching Yoga and Stretch in her Physical Education classes since 1994 and is trained in making modifications for individual needs.

Wednesday, July 29th with another exciting evening of free live music featuring local favorite The Jon Bates Band with opening artist Laura Elliott.&nbsp; Music lovers of all ages will enjoy their energetic blend of soul, rock, R&amp;B, jazz and popular favorites. The concert will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the gazebo in Veterans Memorial Park in Brewster. In case of rain, the event will be held at Tom and Jerry's Bar and Grill, also in Brewster.

Local Brewster resident Jon Bates is the common thread who – as he describes it – "was blessed with the extraordinary friendships and opportunities that gave me a chance to bring this world-class group of musicians and vocalists together as a working unit.”&nbsp; Throughout his career, Bates became well known as a music contractor and producer, assembling performers for concerts, festivals, corporate events, and clubs around the world. Because clients, producers, agents, promoters, and event planners consistently turned to Jon to create exceptional musical experiences, this collection of outstanding talent naturally became known as The Jon Bates Band.

The current lineup showcases an extraordinary group of accomplished musicians, each with impressive careers of their own. The band features powerhouse lead vocalists Steve Riddick and Debbie Major, joined by acclaimed saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist Scott Harper. The dynamic rhythm section includes gifted keyboardist and vocalist Akie Bermiss, guitarist Ken McGloin, bassist Bill Dotts, and Jon Bates on drums and vocals.

Opening the evening is Laura Elliott, a rising indie singer-songwriter from New York's Hudson Valley. Known for her acclaimed EPs Car Sick and People Pleaser, Elliott's heartfelt songwriting explores themes of love, loss, and resilience through honest, emotionally engaging performances. Her fresh, contemporary sound provides the perfect opening for an unforgettable night of music.

Now in its seventh of eight concerts, the Brewster Summer Music Series continues to bring outstanding local, regional, and nationally recognized musicians to downtown Brewster. Presented by the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition, the free, family-friendly concerts invite residents and visitors alike to gather for great music and community spirit.&nbsp; Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of exceptional live entertainment under the summer sky. Another memorable summer season will close out on Wednesday, August 5th with female salsa band Lulada Club.

The Brewster Summer Music Series is one of many programs of the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining cultural arts in the region. Since 2010, the Coalition has led the restoration of the historic Southeast Old Town Hall while presenting hundreds of cultural events through the Studio Around the Corner, the Old Town Hall Theater, and other local venues.
