Despite being home to some of the titans of American art history, Connecticut's role as a haven for art and artists is often dwarfed by the prominence of its neighbors to the North and South. On the occasion of the Museum's exhibition, The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum's Executive Director Cybele Maylone will give an ARTalk at the Ridgefield Library on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00 pm and discuss the rich history of art-making in Connecticut and the vibrancy that exists in the state today. Please register.
Cybele Maylone joined The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum as Executive Director in 2018. Prior to leading The Aldrich, Maylone spent five years as the Executive Director of UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, NY, where she oversaw the organization’s expansion and reopening, and also held positions at the New Museum and apexart. She lives in Ridgefield with her husband and two children.
