Colette Kabasakalian for the local changes Ridgefield needs

Endorsement for House District 111

We are now in the final days leading up to our elections and it is time to select those local candidates that will best support the local needs of Ridgefield. To me, the three most relevant issues are control of our local zoning, affordability of continuing to live in Ridgefield and safety of our community. For all these local issues, Colette Kabasakalian would be the right person for supporting Ridgefield’s local issues.

As a local Real Estate broker, Colette is very tuned into the housing markets and is intimately aware of the needs for our community. Her focus will be on ensuring housing in Ridgefield remains affordable, especially for our seniors, and will fight against the mandates being passed down from Hartford and 8-30g regulations which impinge on our local zoning regulations and provide developers loopholes to circumvent our Planning and Zoning board. On affordability, Colette will fight against the mandates being imposed from Hartford which drive up the costs of living in Ridgefield. If you are like me, you are seeing increases in your local property taxes, your car taxes and the cost of your electric bills which are going up exponentially making living in Ridgefield harder. Ridgefield has always been a safe community, but we are not immune to crime. Reports of cars being broken into and stolen are becoming far too frequent. Colette, who has been endorsed by our local police union, will fight to reverse the laws passed which have hamstrung our police from doing their jobs and ensure those that commit crimes will be held accountable.

These are local issues which need local representation that we are not getting from our current representatives. Colette will go to Hartford and enact the changes that Ridgefield needs. Please vote for Colette on November 5th.
