FCC Ridgefield Hosts a Holiday Craft Fair on November 23-24
The First Congregational Church of Ridgefield announces a Holiday Craft Fair, featuring handmade crafts from H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine.
Ridgefield, CT — The First Congregational Church of Ridgefield (FCC) is excited to announce a Holiday Craft Fair, featuring handmade crafts from H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine. The fair will take place on Saturday, November 23, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Sunday, November 24, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Lund Hall, located at 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT. Admission is free, and the event promises a wonderful opportunity to kick off your holiday shopping while supporting a great cause.
Handmade Gifts and Local Crafts
The Craft Fair will showcase an array of beautifully handcrafted items perfect for holiday gifting. There will be a diverse selection of pottery, trivets, quilts, wall hangings, crochet blankets, clothing, ornaments, stained glass, wooden cutting boards, jams, honey, maple syrup, maple candy, toys, cards, jewelry, and much more. With a wide variety of unique, artisanal products, there’s something for everyone on your list.
Create Your Own "Homemade Christmas Swags"
In addition to shopping, visitors will have the chance to get hands-on and create their own "Homemade Christmas Swags." These festive door, lamp, or fence post decorations will be made from a beautiful assortment of natural junipers, firs, holly, and ribbons, with expert guidance from local volunteers. This fun and easy activity is perfect for families, and all materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity! As with the Craft Fair, all proceeds from swag sales will benefit H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine.
Supporting H.O.M.E.'s Mission in Maine
H.O.M.E. (Homemakers Outreach and Missions Exchange) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of low-income and unhoused families in Orland, Maine, and the surrounding communities. H.O.M.E. provides food, shelter, housing, employment opportunities, education, and resources for self-sufficiency. FCC Ridgefield has been a proud and longstanding mission partner of H.O.M.E., supporting the organization in a variety of ways over the years.
Shelter Program Donations
As part of the Craft Fair, FCC is collecting much-needed donations for H.O.M.E.’s Shelter Program. Community members are encouraged to bring new or gently used items to support the shelter’s residents. Donations may be dropped off in specially marked bins located in the Welcome Center inside the church. Items needed include twin-size sheet sets, pillows, bath towels, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, nail clippers, and boxes of band-aids.
