First-Time Voter Supporting Aimee, Ceci & Julie for Brighter Future
Kushner, Maher and Berger-Girvalo protect our democracy, our freedoms, our rights and our future

My mom always told me, my vote is my voice. I registered to vote on my 18th birthday and will vote for the first time in November. As a Jewish transgender young adult, I will be supporting Democrats up and down the ballot because my personal future depends on it. On a national level, the Republican party wants to erase my identity, calling for the “eradication” of trans people during the CPAC conference. On a state and local level, my representatives, Aimee Berger-Girvalo, Ceci Maher and Julie Kushner have worked hard to protect my rights and ensure my safety. They do not just talk the talk but walk the walk. Their work expands freedoms and protections for ALL, expanding gun safety and protecting the environment, reproductive rights, and lgbtq+ rights. Most recently, they passed an Act to Expand Paid Sick Days which allows for the accrual of paid leave, and specifically expands the definition of family to be more inclusive of ALL family structures. They have expanded access to the ballot box, healthcare and mental health services, too. As a high school graduate, if I want to attend a CT community college, I can do that free of charge. My vote is indeed my voice, so on November 5th you better believe I am going to vote Row A all the way to protect our democracy, our freedoms, our rights and our future.
