Food Trucks at Ridgefield Breweries to Get Public Hearing
The operators of Nod Hill Brewery on Route 7 spearheaded the petition.

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Close to 400 people signed a petition favoring amending a town ordinance that forbids mobile food vendors from legally setting up at breweries or wineries in town. That's triggered the selectmen to schedule a July 25 public hearing on the matter, The Ridgefield Press is reporting.
The current ordinance, forbidding trucks and carts from staying in the same location longer than 15 minutes, was passed in November 2016. It was established in part to protect the interests of town restaurants and other businesses.
The operators of Nod Hill Brewery on Route 7 spearheaded the petition, believing that the presence of food trucks near their facility will enhance sales.
