Free Spring Events Planned in Ridgefield

A flashlight egg hunt, annual scramble and Spring Fling are all scheduled for late March.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Three free spring events are planned in Ridgefield later this month, offering activities for kids and families across multiple days.

The lineup includes a flashlight egg hunt, the town’s annual egg scramble and a Spring Fling celebration, according to Ridgefield Parks and Recreation.

The flashlight egg hunt is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at the Ridgefield Recreation Center fields and is open to children in grades 3 through 5. The event begins at 8 p.m., with participants asked to arrive by 7:45 p.m., and children should bring their own flashlights. Registration is required and limited to 100 participants.

The annual egg scramble will take place on Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at Ballard Park. Children will collect eggs, meet the Easter bunny and take part in spring-themed activities. A rain or snow date is scheduled for March 29 at noon.

The weekend wraps up with a Spring Fling on Sunday, March 29, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Ridgefield Recreation Center. The event will feature inflatables, swimming, a pool slide, and a live performance including comedy and juggling.
