Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Ridgefield

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Fairfield County for Tuesday afternoon.
Yesterday, we dealt with freezing temps, snow and ice, and now there is talk of thunderstorms and fog. What a winter!

Here is the latest information via the National Weather Service:
“As widespread moderate to locally heavy rain falls on frozen ground as it moves east across the area this afternoon...minor urban flooding of low lying poor drainage areas is likely.”
“A narrow band of heavy showers along with isolated thunderstorms may cause wind gusts of at least 58 mph...across the region this afternoon.”
Up to an inch of rain is likely before ending at 7 p.m. or so.
