The Iris Fund Visits NICU Families with Flowers on Valentine's Day

The Iris Fund partnered with Three Roots Floral Designs, with support from The Tiny Miracles Foundation, to deliver more than 180 bouquets.

For the fourth year in a row, The Iris Fund partnered with Three Roots Floral Designs, with support from The Tiny Miracles Foundation, to deliver more than 180 bouquets to mothers in five local hospitals (Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford, St. Vincent's, and Yale) throughout the maternity and NICU wards.

"This is a team effort and such a special day of the year! As a preemie mom I know what it's like to navigate a difficult path through all of these wards. Thanks to partners like Shannon from Three Roots Floral Design, The Tiny Miracles Foundation and the amazing women who volunteer for us every year delivering, we get to spread a little love to a special population that always deserves it - moms!" - Brittney Crystal, Executive Director, The Iris Fund

In addition to these great partnerships, The Iris Fund would like to recognize Hailey's Day of Kindness; funds received from that day went to support this initiative. A little reminder - to spread a little love wherever and whenever we can! Happy Valentines Day!

The Iris Fund, created in loving memory of Iris Crystal Aleman, works to make certain no other family endures the heartbreaking loss and complications of prematurity. To accomplish this, it provides catalytic funding to eliminate preterm birth through research that discovers the triggers of labor as well as advocating for and supporting high risk and loss families.
