Ridgefield Garden Club & Jesse Lee Preschoolers Visit Ballard Garden

On a beautiful Fall day Jesse Lee preschoolers walked to Ballard Garden to visit the native garden plantings. Ridgefield Garden Club members talked about why native plants are important. The preschoolers enjoyed walking though the Garden, and they had a lot of good questions and observations. They chose some favorite plants, and then enjoyed an art project sketching them. A side activity was collecting numerous acorns. This program was created by Judith Pierpoint, and she will host another event for the preschoolers in April 2025. It was a perfect and fun day.
